"34 kms (21 miles) from Lyon, 38 kms (23,5 miles) from Bourg en Bresse, 93 kms (58 miles) from Aix les Bains and 20 kms (75 miles) from Geneva, Perouges is a free town with 856 inhabitants which 85 in the city (census of 1991).
